Ms. Godin has worked in the Job Corps program since 2016 and is new to the API Corporate family. Ms. Godin graduated from Westfield State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management as a Sankofa Scholar participant, and a Health Sciences Associates Degree from Goodwin College. She just recently obtained her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification through the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and is an active Society of Human Resources (SHRM) member.
Ms. Godin thoroughly enjoys working in all aspects of the API office and the small business environment it embraces. Growing up she found herself in many environments where helping others was a prominent focus point. From volunteering on the local Emergency Services Ambulance Agency as a medical provider, to becoming involved with the Fire Department her family are all actively a part of; the engrained sense of service for others above self in her community helped format her perception of accountability and core values.
She would often tell you that she never picked Human Resources, but rather Human Resources picked her. Her career experiences ranged as she balanced her continued education. Starting as a Receptionist, to becoming a Waterfront Director as a Lifeguard Supervisor and Certified Swim Instructor, grew into more sensitive Administrative support rolls in various office environments have all collectively assisted in her growth as a strong and focused leader. Of the many humbled lessons, she learned throughout those years, understanding how to appropriately represent high – level staff and interface with people in many environments shaped her ability to develop professionally.
Ms. Godin feels most reward in enjoying what truly drives and motivates her to be a better professional in succeeding with a team environment. She takes great pride in her work and looks forward to growing with API as it moves into its successful future.
